"...And they admitted that they were aliens and strangers on earth. People who say such things show that they are looking for a country of their own. If they had been thinking of the country they had left, they would have had opportunity to return. Instead, they were longing for a better country—a heavenly one. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for he has prepared a city for them." Hebrews 11:13-16

O CANADA!

Happy Canada Day!!

I hope that you all had a wonderful Canada Day. I've never really been a patriotic person but being half way around the world you realize how much you love your country. We of course decided to celebrate in true Canadian style. We had a pancake breakfast! We invited all the students to come early to join us in the festivities. I had made a Canadian shalwar to wear. Murray was wearing hiking shorts and boots along with a red sweater and a black CANADA cap. Matt was wearing a red fleece and a toque with a pom-pom, Isaac was decked out from head-to-toe in red and Esther had a Canadian flag that she was wearing. We all used "eh" as much as we could. The students were a little confused as to what we were saying but they enjoyed themselves as did we. We had the Canadian tunes cranked and we also had a large flag hung up. After breakfast was finished all 5 Canadians stood under the flag and sang O Canada! It moved me Bob!

Spirit Group made us this banner. I was really touched. Yes we realize that they spelled Canada wrong, they are the group with the poorest English in the school. They wanted us to have a wonderful day and we did!
