"...And they admitted that they were aliens and strangers on earth. People who say such things show that they are looking for a country of their own. Wesak is a Buddhist holiday that celebrates the birth, enlightenment and death of Buddha. It is their most important Poya day of the year. Poya days are always on the full moon of the month. For Wesak people make lanterns to decorate their homes and businesses. The picture below shows the lanterns that were hung at the house beside the school. On Wesak day many people give out free food, snacks and drinks.
