"...And they admitted that they were aliens and strangers on earth. People who say such things show that they are looking for a country of their own. If they had been thinking of the country they had left, they would have had opportunity to return. Instead, they were longing for a better country—a heavenly one. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for he has prepared a city for them." Hebrews 11:13-16

I'm Back

Man it has been forever since I've had the time to blog. I was very proud of myself because I did not use it as a means of procrastination!

So school is finished. I have graduated. Yay. I have to keep reminding myself that I don't have anymore homework to do...it's finished, well for a year anyhow.

So I'm taking a year off from school. I'm staying in Grande Prairie for the summer with my folks and then am moving to Winnipeg to live with my cousin Brendan. I will be going to Red River College the following school year in the Graphic Design program. I'm so excited to be moving on and doing new things. I loved my time at Central but I'm ready for new challenges.

Speaking of new challenges... I have not completely left life at Central... I know, you're all thinking "Oh my word Kendra, what have you agreed to do now?" Well I volunteered my services to the BOG awhile ago in regards to alumni. There is no official alumni association so I thought it would be a good thing to have and told them I would be willing to help out with whatever needed to be done. I am now the President of the Alumni Executive. There will be other people on the Executive as well, there are two confirmed for sure... Lori Updike and Gerry Klassen. The BOG is in the process of asking the others that were recommmended. So I'm a little freaked out because I've never done anything like this before but I'm excited because it's a new challenge... and will definitely be a growing and learning experience.
Other than that I am just unpacking and contemplating where to put in my resumes... nothing too stressful. Enjoy your summer everyone.
