"...And they admitted that they were aliens and strangers on earth. People who say such things show that they are looking for a country of their own. If they had been thinking of the country they had left, they would have had opportunity to return. Instead, they were longing for a better country—a heavenly one. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for he has prepared a city for them." Hebrews 11:13-16

the Name Game

So I had mentioned in a past blog that I had changed my first name to Kendara so that it would be easier for people to pronounce and it just sounds more Sri Lankan. Well they've (the other teachers) given me a Sri Lankan last name. So my new name is officially...
Kendara Kempinarachchi
That is pronounced Ken-dah-rah Kem-peen-ah-rahch-chee. Unfortunately it is harder for the North American crowd to say. You guys can still call me by my usual name.

I can say it.. and I like that it's more complicated than Kastrukoff... you win Kendara, you win.
